How it works?

Step 1: Sign up

Go online to rushwavesja.com to sign up and receive your FREE Rushwaves account and personal US shipping address.

Step 2: Shop online!

Visit your preferred online retailers, make your purchases, and have the packages delivered to the US address you received when you registered. Alternatively, share your US shipping address with family and friends so they can send items directly to you.

Step 3: Arrival Notification

Your package(s) will first be delivered to the RushWaves Courier US warehouse, where they will be scheduled for the next available flight to Jamaica. RushWaves will notify you once your package arrives, at which point you can upload your invoice. Upon arrival in Jamaica, RushWaves will handle the presentation of your package(s) to Customs for processing.

Step 4. Get your packages

Once your package(s) have been successfully cleared, we will notify you that they are ready for pickup or delivery. You can then collect your package(s) at one of our designated pickup locations or arrange for them to be delivered to your home or a central location.

1-Are there any membership fees?

There are no fees associated with registering as a member.

2-Can I begin using RushWaves Courier services immediately after signing up?

Absolutely! Once you receive your membership confirmation, you are ready to start shopping. Please ensure all shipments include your RushWaves Courier shipping address and your unique Account number. Incomplete or inaccurate addresses may cause delays and will require special handling.

3-How does my RushWaves Courier online account function?

When you log into your account, you can:

  1. Verify if your packages have been received.
  2. Make payments for your packages.
  3. Track the status of your shipments.
  4. Update your account details, including your delivery address etc.
You will also receive email notifications when your package is received and when it is ready for pickup or delivery.

4-How or where can I collect my packages?

Upon the arrival and processing of your package in Jamaica, you will receive a notification along with an invoice indicating that your packages are ready for pickup or delivery. We will handle clearance and arrange for delivery directly to your address.

5-How frequently do you receive shipments, and how soon after delivery will I receive my package?

Shipments are received four times a week—Tuesday through Friday. Packages are delivered to our Miami warehouse and subsequently shipped to Jamaica for clearance within 24 hours, barring natural disasters or holidays. After your packages are prepared, we will send you an invoice, after which you can select your delivery or pickup preferences. Shipping delays may occasionally occur due to factors beyond our control.

6-What is a purchase invoice or receipt?

A purchase invoice, or receipt, is a document that details the amount paid for your purchases. It also includes information such as the seller's name, address, and the date of purchase. Many merchants provide this invoice with your package, while others may send it via email.
It is essential to keep a record of these invoices for customs clearance purposes. If your package arrives without an invoice or if the invoice does not clearly indicate the price paid, we cannot guarantee clearance, and the package may be detained at customs.
Special note about gift items:
If you indicate that an item is a gift, the seller may provide a merchant invoice that does not display the price. If your package arrives with only a gift receipt, additional information may be required from you for customs clearance.

7-What should I do if my package is damaged during shipping?

In the event that your package is damaged during transit to Jamaica, please contact our RushWaves Courier Representative to report the issue. An investigation will be initiated. It is crucial for merchants to package items properly with appropriate protective materials, as we cannot accept liability for packages not packaged adequately to withstand shipping.

8-Which products are restricted?

Restricted products are those deemed hazardous or prohibited by Jamaica Customs, IATA, and the FAA. For guidance on restricted items, please consult a RushWaves Courier Representative, or directly reach out to Jamaica Customs. 9-What occurs if I order a restricted product?

If a restricted item is shipped from our Florida office and arrives in Jamaica, it may be seized and destroyed by Jamaica Customs. In some cases, you may discuss the possibility of obtaining a permit for clearance with Jamaica Customs. For more information, feel free to contact us.

10-What are your delivery locations?

We provide delivery services to Kingston, Spanish Town, and Portmore within city limits, as well as island-wide delivery. For areas outside the corporate area, we collaborate with Knutsford and TARA courier services, where additional carrier fees will apply.

11-What should I do if my delivery plans change?

If you need to cancel or modify your delivery arrangements, please notify RushWaves Courier as soon as possible. The cutoff time for address changes is 4:00 PM on Saturday and Mondays. Failing to communicate changes may result in additional fees for re-routing your delivery.

12-Will I incur handling or storage fees?

  1. Handling Fee: A handling fee of JMD 500 will be charged for packages weighing 4 lbs. and above. For packages over 20 lbs., the fee will be JMD 750.
  2. Storage Fee: Members enjoy 14 days of complimentary storage. After this period, a storage fee of JMD 30 per package per day will apply. Storage fees accumulate until your package is shipped, disposed of, or returned to the sender. These charges will be clearly itemized on your invoice when your package is invoiced or discarded.

13-Why is my package not appearing on my dashboard?

Shipments are received Tuesday through Friday between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Our receiving team works diligently to enter packages into your account within 24 to 48 hours after their arrival at our U.S. facility. You will receive an email notification each time a package is logged into your account. If a package is missing beyond this timeframe, it may be due to an absence of your unique Mailing ID. Please immediately contact us at admin@rushwavesja.com with the subject line "Missing Package," including your name, tracking number, and proof of delivery details.
